Warmington Village Hall

Dear Villager

Further to a meeting of the Warmington Village Hall Committee, we just wanted to keep you all advised of our plans for the future with regards to the Hall.

Whilst we find ourselves still obeying the restrictions necessary to reduce the spread of the virus, the Hall will regrettably remain closed. We will obviously continue to review the situation, and wish to assure everyone that as soon as it is possible to do so, the Hall will once again open for club bookings and village social events. In the time of the closure the Hall has been re-decorated and continues to be maintained in anticipation of re-opening.

Further to the current lockdown, the decision has been made to regrettably cancel the Christmas Party and also postpone the WVHC AGM until April 2021

We hope everyone remains safe and well in these very difficult times

Best wishes

Dear Villager
Just a quick update as to village events that continue to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the 2020 Bonfire and Fireworks event on the Green will not be going ahead, we sincerely hope the event will be able to return in 2021
There are several reasons for this, with the recent changes to social distancing guidance, an event that regularly attracts over 1000 people, is simply not possible to safely organise. We would also be unable to provide a BBQ, and this is a vital part of the event in terms of being a financial success for the village hall. We wanted you to know now in order that villagers can manage their Green waste this Autumn.  Needless to say, without a bonfire night, no garden green debris should be placed on the Green.
Finally, there has been some good news for the village hall during the lockdown and continued closure of the hall, a grant has been secured from Stratford District Council, and this has enabled us to continue to maintain and redecorate the hall in preparation for when we are finally in a position to reopen the hall to the public.
We trust these reasons for the postponement and continued closure of the hall make sense to everyone during these difficult times. We shall, of course, continue to keep you updated as restrictions change and we hopefully head back to a situation when the village hall becomes open to villagers again..

Dear Villagers
The WVHMC (Warmington Village Hall Management Committee) just wanted to update you regarding the continued closure of the Warmington Village Hall.
Further to a recent meeting of the WVHMC to discuss the re-opening of the Village Hall, it has been agreed that for the time being, with Covid-19 still very much in our lives, and the potential risk of infection, that it would be in the best interest for Hall users, that the Village Hall remains closed.
Whilst restrictions have been eased, and certain areas of the leisure and hospitality sector have now been re-opened, due to the government guideline requirements set out for public buildings, it would be impossible for these guidelines to be adhered to within the confines of the Village Hall.
Obviously we regret that at this time the Hall remains closed, but we are continuing to follow guidelines as they change and will continue to review the situation, with the intention to get the hall re-opened as soon as is safely possible.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hall as soon as possible.
Many thanks

Your Committee
